The following guidelines are used to match a consumer's requested vehicle to vehicles configured in your account if an exact match cannot be determined.
1. If the lead has no transmission specified, quote vehicles configured for the trim with automatic transmission.
**Motivation: Most consumers prefer to drive automatic vehicles.
2. If the lead has no drivetrain specified (i.e. 4x2 or 4x4), quote vehicles that are 2WD (4x2).
**Motivation: Most customers are not interested in the 4x4 version of the specified vehicle.
3. If the lead has no model year specified, quote vehicles configured for the trim of the current model year.
**Motivation: Most consumers prefer the current model year. There will likely be more vehicles available for the current model year.
4. If the model year specified in the lead is unavailable, quote vehicles configured for the available model year.
**Motivation: Consumer might be open to purchasing a different model year. Still want to send a quote to prompt the consumer to continue conversation with the sales department.
5. If not all of the trim information specified in the lead can be satisfied, quote vehicles configured for the least expensive trim that is closest to the consumer request.
**Motivation: A low price will prompt consumers to continue conversation with the sales department. Consumers might be open to purchasing vehicles similar to their specific requests. Still want to send a quote to prompt the consumer to continue conversation with the sales department.
